For Families and Couples

Although St Andrews is known as the home of golf, the town also offers excellent shopping, art galleries, theatre and museums. Local attractions such as the castle, cathedral, university buildings, Victorian and Edwardian streets make St Andrews one of the most picturesque towns in Scotland!

St Andrews Castle

Here in St Andrews stands the ruins of the city’s castle, the main residence of the bishops and archbishops of St Andrews – the focal point of the Church in Medieval Scotland. Today, a siege mine and counter-mine can be explored, and the ‘bottle dungeon’ viewed. There is a visitor centre with exhibition and also a shop which features a range of local products made in Fife!

St Andrews Aquarium
